How Does It Work? This Month’s Curriculum Theme
This month’s curriculum theme is centered around one of the most common refrains from our little ones- How Does It Work?
Healthy eating is important, but we also firmly believe that mealtime should be engaging and fun! Our recipes come from around the world, and incorporate a variety of textures and flavors that develop taste buds.
We believe children deserve great food too – no chicken nuggets or pizza here. We’ve proven that healthy meals can taste good too! In just a single week, children in our program will taste a dozen different vegetables, explore new proteins like shrimp and garbanzo beans, and broaden their palate with spices from around the world.
Even our littlest learners have the opportunity to enjoy our cilunary program. Using organic ingredients, we prepare from scratch purees for our infants because we recognize a child’s first meals are often their most important.
Every appetizing recipe begins with quality ingredients, and our meals are no different.
Our recipes are designed to use simple, clean, and organic ingredients to provide children the opportunity to taste unique and existing flavors. We have absolute control over our curated menu and prepare all meals onsite from scratch. All centers have a licensed commercial kitchen that complies with stringent safety standards to produce the highest quality meals for the children in our care.

Meet Melissa and her family!
Children who attend a Spanish immersion preschool can still be well-prepared for kindergarten in a public or private school. In fact, Spanish immersion programs can offer unique advantages that contribute to a child’s overall readiness for kindergarten and beyond.
We’ve compiled a list of events near all of our locations and surrounding areas, and we hope to see Tierra families there!
“Let’s talk about the food- these kids are eating better than most adults I know. For example, Tuesday they are having couscous with tofu and Thursdays is shrimp whole grain pasta fresca. I love knowing that my son is getting nutrient rich foods. Can’t say enough good things about Tierra. We actually moved to a different city and still drive him there because we are so happy.”
“They are the true definition of family partnership. My child has allergies and they go above and beyond to meet his needs. They print me weekly menus with the ingredients, so we can see what my child can eat. They have amazing communication and response time.”
“The food they serve is great – I’ve stopped during meal times and it’s so much better than the menus we saw at other centers. She has developed a great palate for different food because of the variety she gets at Tierra Encantada. She happily eats vegetables and fruit, avocados, beans, eggs, and quinoa! I can’t imagine sending her anywhere else.”
Our differences truly make us better and as a Tierra Encantada parent, you can take pride in knowing your child is receiving the best care and early learning experience available.

On paper, the center had exactly what we were looking for – Spanish immersion, organic food, cloth diapers, a strong curriculum – but in practice, all you ever really want for your kids is for them to be cared for and loved by their caretakers and that’s where Tierra excels above the rest.” – Meg V., Minneapolis, MN
